Conflicts
.The first conflict is when Lee talked about Alan Piscopo, this is an external conflict. This made him angry, evidence from the text is, ”He gripped the wheel, feeling a wholly unexpected jealousy directed at the faceless Piscopo”(pg 88)
.Another conflict is when Lee suddenly asked”How come you never wrote” (pg 91) this is an internal conflict. This made him feel uneasy as he himself did not know why he didn’t write to Lee
.Another external conflict is when Dad said”Do you have to dress like that?” (pg 97)This made Lee lose her temper. Maybe she reacted this way because she still cannot accept the culture
Climax
.The climax of the story is when, from the text “Then, one night, he found them in his bedroom; his head thundered, and he stormed out, slamming the door behind him, cursing parental burdens ” (pg 103)
Resolution
.The resolution of the story is a complete resolution as it has a happy ending

They had their family reunion, when Lee met her grandmother after a very long time. Even though she has just met her grandmother, she feels comfortable with her even though she does not accept the culture

.The first conflict happened during the first week the new neighbours moved in, this is an external conflict, evidence from the text ”the new neighbours cut down the guava tree near the fence separating the two hours while Eileen was at the supermarket ” (pg 141)
.Another conflict is when Eileen came back from the hospital “the first thing she noticed was that the fence was crooked” (pg 141)

.The climax of the story is Eileen met the person that has been feeding the neighbour’s dog

Eileen tried to call the SPCA, but no one answered, then she called the police. Eileen argued with the police about the neighbour’s dog. Even though she had lack of sleep and was arguing with the police in the middle of the night, she was able to calm down

.The climax of the story is when Prakash and Elaine broke up, as this is where there is a drastic change in the story

The most interesting segment is when…
Prakash came to Elaine’s house and make out with her. While kissing, Prakash giggled and Elaine felt pissed off. Elaine thinks that Prakash giggled about her hands that look like beetles just like her dad. She insisted Prakash to leave just because of the giggle. I find this segment interesting yet very weird.

.The climax of the story is when Beverly mentioned that she was going to China. This made Tien Yee think about his own culture and how he never travelled around Asia, whereas, Beverly, getting to travel around Asia(pg 113)

When Tai Poh finally revealed that the woman in the picture is actually the young lady’s mother. I find that past interesting as I felt curious of whom the lady in the picture was. Is amazing how Tai Poh knows that the lady in the MRT seems familiar. (pg 220)

ishveer here,good blog man just need to label internal conflicts and external conflicts because people wouldnt know what kind of conflict you are talking about.I like tha fact that you used quotes from the book too in your evidence
